The press coverage is mostly about loneliness and romance, and those are real use cases. But in practice the category is wider:
- Someone to talk to — no scheduling, no judgment, no social cost of saying the same worry out loud for the fifth time.
- Practice — conversations you want to rehearse: a hard talk with a parent, a job interview, flirting without stakes.
